My work deals with more of the way the world “is” instead of the way I would “like” it to be. The images are worn and destroyed, but then saved and locked forever. What can be seen in these pieces is as important as what isn’t seen. In modern times, what’s lacking and void is of more importance then what is there. Photography is a medium I always come back to. I’m greedy, so through this medium and style, I get to re-tool the images to have two different meanings. The original image is layered and re-created to a different context. It allows me to be a perfectionist on the technical side of one medium, and delve into a more visceral nature on the other.
